Almost Ready!

Here is just one of the Christmas cards I have been working on. This card was an order of 144 cards that I made for my cousin.

I am almost ready for Christmas. I have a few more gifts to purchase and a few more to make and then I will be all done. My Christmas cards are just a day away from being completed and mailed. I would have had them completed tonight but my son asked for me to make homemade doughnuts tonight so as any good mommy would do I made them for him. Since he is 19 years old I showed him how to make them for himself so he can the next time he wants them. LOL, I think NOT! I finished up the last class of the 12 Gifts Before Christmas and everyone agreed that they had a blast making all the gifts and as promised I will have them posted soon, I am working on photographing them all and getting them down loaded to the computer. So maybe by next week. Oh, I did finish getting my Craft Room all moved. I just need to get a few more things put into place and it will be finished. I hope you all have a great week!

Busy Time of the Season!

Just a quick note of what has been going on around here. First of all I have been working on Card Orders for customers. These are my family and Friends who don't have the time to stamp or wish not to stamp but, love my cards I make. Now I am on the middle of moving my Stamping Room to my guest house outback. I think I have bitten of more than I should have since it is getting so close to Christmas, but so far it looks great and I have twice the space out there. Next week will be the last Class for the 12 Gifts before Christmas that I have been holding twice a month since October. I will be posting all the items as soon as I am settled into my new room. I am hoping that I will have them all posted by Christmas. Got to go now, Happy Stamping!

I am Back!

Wow, had some fun in Hawaii. I went to visit my son who lives there. I got back on Thursday, October 28th and then turned around and left again to go to our cabin to do more work. I have so much to get caught up on. I don't even know where to start. I have some new projects to post, but I think I better work on my laundry first. LOL I will try to get some new pics up this week end.
I made this card for a customer for her Thanksgiving card order.

Lake House!

I am a little behind on my blog. I went to the Gubler's Lake House on Monkey Island, Oklahoma last week and had a blast. The weather was perfect, we could not have had better weather, it was in the 80's and sunny, the nights were a little cooler all you needed was a sweater to keep the chill off. We went out on the boat everyday, we saw all the beautiful homes on the lake, we ate at two of the local dock restaurants, we fished and some of us even rode the sea-dos. I loved it there so much I think this is a possible retirement place for sure! I do have to say; I did have a ruff week when got back which has put me a little behind on everything. I did not get my land legs back completely until Friday, so for the most part I felt like I was still on the boat. I have had computer problems at the office too and thank god I did get my statements out they were just a few days late. Now on Monday I will be having someone take a look at it so it can be fixed, and I think it is the hard drive on the server which is not good at all. Oh, and contending with a few of my mosquito bites too has not been fun. I swell up so bad when I get bit. They are almost all gone now, yippee!
I just finished the first class in my 12 Gifts Before Christmas event. Everyone had fun and enjoyed the first two projects we made. We made coasters and candles this week, I will be posting some pictures of the projects we made soon. That's all for now, so until next week- Everyone have a great week!

Cool September Cards!

I am finally feeling better, last week I was feeling a little under the weather. But I am much better now. I just hope I stay feeling better. Because I have a busy week ahead of me. Thursday's Card Club and then Saturday's Stamp Camp to get ready for, I have finished all of Thursday's projects and now I need to concentrate on Saturday's projects and I am having a bit of a creative block going on and it may have to do with the headache I had all last week. I am sure I will get it all done. I have also been working on Holiday card orders too. I am almost done with one and then on to the next. There is still time to for you to order Hoilday cards or if you would prefer to buy kits to make them yourself that option is always available too. Make sure to contact me before the end of October for Holiday cards. Here are some of my creations I have been working on.

Just a little note!

I have been busy getting organized for my up coming events. First event is September 19th and is my quarterly Stamp Camp. I still have room for this camp if you are interested. Cost is $25.00 in merchandise from the current catalogs plus you get to take home all the projects you make. All my events are open to the public, I just need you to RSVP for them. Then I will be getting ready for my first ever 12 Gifts Before Christmas Event. This event will be 6 week ends 2 in each of the following months: October, November & December. I am planning 2 projects per class to make the 12 gifts. The gifts that I am planning will be great for gift giving around the Holidays or any time you choose. There is a fee for this event of $75.00, this will pay for all your supplies you will be using. The cost comes to $6.25 per gift, and with the economy the way it has been, this is a real bargain. Best yet, everyone enjoys a handmade item over a store bought item. It tells the person that you really care about them and that you took extra special time to make them a personal gift. I do hope you can join me for this event. Please go to my website to read more about days and times in my calendar section.

Day 3 Convention

Today was day 3, I have had so much fun so far. It started with some wonderful announcements for us to receive added discounts on some of the new products coming to Stampin' Up!. During the conventions general session there is the prize patrol and they give out free products if you have the correct wristband color and today my wristband won! Yippy!!! I won a free stamp set and some mini cards and envelopes. Then it was off to classes, the first class was a lot of show and tell with products, I sure learned some new techniques. Then it was time for make and takes and of course this is always the best part of the session. Just like when you come to one of my workshops except I don't have to plan it, lol. I am a little sad tonight tomorrow is our last day and then it all comes to an end. I am going to miss all of the fun. I also can't wait to come back home to show everything I have learned and show all the pictures of everything I did too. I will see you all soon.

Day 2, Convention

Today was day 2 of convention. General session started today. So much info was announced. I can't wait to tell you all about it. Had a few classes and went shopping again in the Memento Mall. To night is awards night and entertainment, I am exhausted and may not make it. I need a Starbucks with a double shot to keep me going. LOL

Here is another wonderful picture of a wonderful card from the display boards.

Uploads too slow!!

I am not going to load any more cards until I get back home. It had been taking too long to upload from my laptop. But I will still give you my daily updates.

Day 3 - Convention Starts

Today was the first day of Convention. We checked in and received out bags with all our stamp sets and other goodies. Then it was the waiting game for the Memento Mall to shop. The mall has items we can only buy here at convention. Then it was back to my room to rest. I then went to my one layer swap and then to a party and make and take class with my upline. I got to meet one of my uplines and she was so nice. Her name is Sue and she made me the most wonderful gift, a box filled with all kinds of cool projects for the office. The Make and takes were fun too. Ok, here are a few more cards to show you. I have so many now and tomorrow starts all the main events. I may need a trailer just to get all the great stuff I have collected so far, back to Las Vegas! LOL
Thanks again to all the swapers and displays, for sharing your beautiful work.

Monday, August 3, 2009

I have made it to Salt Lake City, UT. Convention starts on Wednesday, but I will be busy with pre-convention events. Make sure you check back I will be uploading some of the swaps and projects I will get and make. Tonight is a free night for me. Tomorrow I will be going to a Stamp Camp. Ok, I can't wait any longer here is a pic of one of my swaps I made. lol This is my No Layer Swap for Wednesday. I found this to be very challenging card to make. For a no layer card you can not use any layers of other card stock, it seems like it would be simple to do, but its not. I wanted to have dimension to the card so it looked like it was layers so I dry embossed the end of the card stock and then embossed the leaves too. I was also only allowed to use one embellishment. Ok, here is a challenge for you; make a No Layer Card and send it or drop it off to me and be entered into a drawing for some Designer Series paper. Drawing will be held Thursday, Aug 20, 2009.

Sunday, Aug 2, 2009

Salt Lake Cit, UT here I come! I am getting packed and ready to go to Convention tomorrow. I have one card to finish up and I will be all ready to go. I will be gone until next Sunday, so I will post again on Monday night. I can't wait for you to see all the wonderful cards I swapped, until then here are a few of the projects I have been working on.

Cards of the week!

My latest cards. These were made at the last Card Club night.

Sunday, July 26, 2009

Convention is just a week away and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us. I have been busy getting my swaps made and so far I have complete 3 of them. Today I will be working on my no layer swap that I signed up to do. I thought this would be a easy swap to do but have come to the conclusion that a card with no layers and only one embellishment is more challenging then a card with layers. I was playing all day yesterday until I came up with my final prototype. I also was busy making my badge holder and bag tag. Well, I better get off to bed so I can work later today on my swaps. LOL
I have a few cards to post here too, and will try to get them up and posted today too.

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

I was in Cal for a few weeks helping out my niece with her daughter during her recovery from surgery. I had some time to get a few cards done for convention. Convention is coming soon! I am working so hard to get it all done before I go. I have 4 cards of 20 made so far and 2 are completely done. I need to make one more for a side swap I signed up for and would like to make maybe 2 more sets of 20 to take for the general swaps. I will be working this weekend to post a few of the newer cards I have made for Card Club but, you will have to wait for the ones that I am taking to convention. I am sending copies of them all to Stampin' Up! hoping to get published on the Demonstrators website. I made a great card last year while at convention and put it in the basket and I never saw it published maybe it will be on one of the wall boards they put up during convention for everyone to see. Last year I one of my cards I had sent in made it to the wall too. Wish me luck on that. Well, that's all for now need to get back to getting those cards finished.

It was held at my house so I was busy cooking, cleaning and celebrating.

These are a few of the Creations I had a chance to make during that time.

I know I was MIA!

I know I have been slacking when it comes to posting for the month of May. I hope you all will understand when I tell you why and will excuse me for being lax. Some of you may know this already but May is a very difficult month for me. Just the mention of the months name puts me back 6 years ago. For those of you who do not know our 10 year old daughter Kaitlyn past away 6years ago on the Memorial weekend while on a camping trip just outside of Flagstaff Arizona. I for some reason think I function just fine but find myself not wanting to do anything. I just gel the whole month. It is getting easier for me, but I don't think it will ever be completely better. With each year (oh no, I am going to say it or write it) May does get a little easier for me and it will be nice when the month doesn't have a hold on me like it does now. So with that said, please forgive me for being absent during May.

Oh, I am back from my funk and I have lots to share with you. I will try to get as much posted as I can so that you are caught up on my Stamping world. I do have a few celebrations that are coming up in June that may slow me down but I will try my best to get caught up.

June is a month of Celebration for me and for a lot of people. The week of the 8th through the 15th is a week of Celebration for me, so I may be slow in some of my postings. This month I am Celebrating my sons High School Graduation on June 11th, then on June 12th I am also celebrating his Eagle Awards Ceremony and with those celebrations we will have lots of family in town and will be celebrating my father in laws 70th Birthday on June 13th. For the most part it will be a Family Reunion for the Mitchell side of the family, they are all coming to Vegas that week! That means put down those cards and get out the pots and pans, you are a chef for the week. LOL ( I don't mind I love to cook just as much as I love to stamp and make cards) I missed my first calling in life, I should have been a famous Chef. BAM!

I have some exciting news regarding Stampin' Up!. the new catalog will be out soon. Starting tomorrow June 1st the last chance list of merchandise will be released. I will get it post as soon as possible so you can check out the list and get any items you may want before they are gone. Just a note don't wait too long because items go fast and when they are gone, they are gone.

I have more to post but this was a long one so check back soon for more updates and for pics of cards that I have made.

As soon as I find it I will get some of the projects up loaded for you all to view. Get ready for May! Did you know that May is Scrapbooking month? And because it is I and going to host a Special Scrapbooking Class. This class you will make 3 different style scrapbooks. So look for the added class and sign up soon because space is limited. I am off now, to finish working on more of the projects a long with helping my son bake a Pyramid Cake for a class project that is due on Friday. Wish me luck with the cake project! I do like baking just as much as stamping! My two favorite hobbies!

Today is Monday, April 6, 2009

Hi! The last few weeks have been challenging for me. I have had to go back to work to help out in my husbands business. You know I had a great routine I followed every week and with adding a work schedule to the mix is just throwing me off a little. I think I will have my work week down to only 3 days a week, then I will have the other 4 days to work that I truly love and that is Stamping! It's just a matter of finding the right balance. What a Week!

Photo for April's Tami's TuesdayTechnique Class
Which is held on the 1st Tuesday of every month
at 7pm.

Sunday, March 29, 2009

Wow, What a week it has been. I am not sure how many of you know but I do not just do cards for a living. We (being my husband and I) own a Tire business here in Las Vegas for over 20 years. Well, for the first time in that 20 years business has been slow and I mean slow. Like barley any service calls. We mainly service the construction industry and it has come to a complete halt. We have had to lay off all of our employee's which was one of the toughest things we have ever had to do. That means I am back in the office and I hate it, I might add. I have gotten so used to having others there to do the work and now I am back at work. So that brings me to; What a week it has been! I was in the office all week just getting used to the daily work and getting everything adjusted so that I will be more productive while I am there and just maybe it will allow me to have some free days to do what I really love to do and that is to make cards. Sad to say I haven't even made one card all week. I do how ever need to get busy this week I have a Workshop coming up and Thursday I have a downline meeting to attend and I haven't even started. And this is the end of month for the Tire biz and I need to get statements out. I hope this coming week is a lot easier and that I get more time to do some cards.

Sunday, March 22, 2009

Sunday, March 22, 2009

It is Sunday, March 22, 2009. I have had a very bad week, this past week. I don't just do Cards for a living. My husband and I own a Tire business here in Las Vegas. Unfortunately we have had to lay off all of our employees and that has me so upset. You really can't imagine how that makes a person feel when you know they rely on you everyday for a job, especially with the way the economy is right now, but we had no choice. We also had one of our employee's retaliate on us which really hurt us deeply. We have always gone above and beyond for our employees and then to have one of them do something to you after you have been so wonderful to them. Well, I was steaming mad at that person, until I turned on the TV this morning. When I turned it on it was already set to channel 13 and Joel Osteen was on. I Have never watched his show before but this morning his sermon hit home to me. It was all about not keeping grudges and hating people and stuff like that. I felt that something made me turn on the TV just at that time to hear his message. I feel so much better after hearing what he had to say. Most all of my worries that I had are now gone. I have hope that we will survive this horrible economy and that, that employee that has treated us so badly will some day get his due, but it won't be from me. I feel so much more at peace and that a great burden has been lifted from my shoulders.

Well enough on that subject and on to Cards....

I have posted a picture of my up coming Monday Madness Class. This Monday, March 23, 2009 @ 7pm these are the cards for my Stamp-A-Stack.

Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31, 2009 so hurry and place those orders to receive Free merchandise.

April 1, 2009 the new Mini Catalog will start. It has some great stamp sets in it and you won't want to miss them!

Have a great week and remember this:

Do not let the sun go down with worries or stress on your mind, hand them over to a higher power and you will awaken in the new day with more hope!

March 8, 2009

Look at me I am really getting organized. It is up and on my site before midnight on the date I always post. Here are some of the projects I am currently working on for my up coming events. I have told myself that this year I would try to keep this blog current and so far I am doing it. I am proud of myself for keeping my New Years Resolution. It is March and by this time almost half of every ones Resolutions they made for the New Year have been broken, but not mine and I am even getting better, if I do say so myself. I have a goal to have my items featured before my events are scheduled and I am on my way to that goal. So here are up coming event postings of items that I will be featuring during my up coming events. If you would like more info on my events please visit my website and sign up to attend them.

Sunday, February 22, 2009

Well, I had my Stamp Camp this week end and it was a blast! I am absolutely exhausted so tonight’s blog is going to short and sweet because I am in need of some rest. I had 8 cards and 6 3-D projects for the event. I thought I would need more but it worked out to be just the right amount of items for everyone to work on. I will be getting them posted in a few days so you too can see what projects I had at my Stamp Camp. Starting in March I have added another class to the calendar on my web site, Monday Madness is on the third Monday of every month and will feature Stamp a Stack and for more information go to my Calendar on my Stampin' Up! Web site to check it out.

Sunday, February 15, 2009

Today is Sunday, February 15, 2009 I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentines Day! I have been busy putting together a 78 card order for my niece. I am almost done with it and I am hoping to have it the mail on Tuesday for her. This week I will be putting together the projects for Stamp Camp. I am working on trying to get around 25 cards, scrap booking and projects ready for this event. Wish me LUCK! When the big event is over I will take some photos of the projects and post them on my web site in my Projects Gallery. Now that I have the Projects Gallery figured out, I am on a mission to try to upload all projects before my events or classes take place so you will get a preview of what projects each class or event will be featuring. I will try to have it all up that way in March. Starting in March I have added another class to the calendar, Monday Madness is on the third Monday of every month and will feature Stamp a Stack and for more information go to web site and click on my Calendar to check it out. It’s that time of year again for you to earn some Free merchandise, its Sale-A-Bration time! Check out all the info here on my site for all the details. Happy Stamping & Crafting! You’re Stampin’ Up! Well, I am doing it. Just like I said I would. I am blogging again. I am in the transition phase right now, Stampin' Up is going to release the New Catalog tomorrow. So I will be back to up date the current catalog to the new one either tomorrow or the next day. And then in the next few days I am going to try to up load some of my cards that I have been working on. I have ran into a little snag trying to get them to the size I need them to be. But I am working on it. I haven't up loaded any in a while so I am trying to remember how I did it the last time. Oh well, I will figure it out soon. My news; I went up to Flagstaff, AZ this week end and I snowmobiled for the first time. I am not sure if I liked it that well because my husband was the driver and I was a passenger. I think he drove to fast and it really scared me. Other than that I worked all week at our Tire shop getting paperwork ready for the CPA. I am planning another week like that for the coming week too. The only other news I have is all the new releases with Stampin' Up! The catalog is wonderful. If you are interested in seeing one please contact me via email or through my Stampin' Up web site. Ok, off I go to photograph my cards so I can add them or maybe I will start a wish list for all the items I would like to have from the new Stampin' Up catalog. LOL

Happy New Year!

Well, I said I was going to get this site working better and that is my goal for this year. I have plenty of Cards I have been working on, in that last few weeks. I just need to photograph them and down load them to my computer and then up load them here to my site. I am hoping to have them loaded by the end of this month. It may be a little longer because I have my real job I have to do and it is that time of year when I am really busy with end of year projects and getting tax stuff together for the CPA. Plus my sister wants me to visit at the end of the month so I can help her take care of our mother who is having surgery on the 26th. So it really is starting to look more like February to get more completed to this site. I did make a few New Years resolutions if you want to call them that and one of them was to be better at this blogging site. So I will be back at least once a week on Sunday's for sure with the weeks updates from my world.

I am Back!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I have been gone so long, life just gets away from you and time flies! Here is a new Card I did on a Zoom Clas...
